Whose return from a grand expedition had better been a
Secret.
  Thy ribbon red, my doughty sold'er,
  If split, and fasten'd to each shoulder,
  Much better would it look (Lord speed thee !)
  Or, if thou didst in duty falter
  'Twere best to change it to a halter.
